Safety, security and caution
Inform you about the planned run, about the weather report as well as about the state of paths. Do not take out marked out paths and do not take the closed paths. Generally, in Reunion island, leave early in the morning if you want to take advantage of the sun and the sight and to arrive before the nightfall (about 18 h).

Money
Shelters, grocer's shops, bars,... of Mafate are not equipped as a rule to receive payments by card. Furthermore, the storekeepers do not generally accept checks. It is thus necessary to allow cash as a consequence.
